Sketch of the Week: Down by the Riverside

I haven”t done a “sketch of the week” in a while. Here’s this weeks sketch:

The trees are changing colour. Flocks of geese and seagulls add life to the turquoise blue sky. A cool, gentle breeze of fresh air blows from the lake as the sound of waterfowl is heard from the distance…

Character is Yoshino from my Ronin Yoshino manga. I was inspired to draw this after we went to Connetquot State Park. Very beautiful, wild and it’s cool that it has horse trails! A combination of being outdoors with nature and signs of horses inspired this illustration. I always get creative ideas to write and draw stories when in natural settings. The world seems to slows down, like this is how life may have been centuries ago…
I imagine what things could have looked like and let my imagination run wild!
