American Robin

American Robin   Turdus migratorius   L 10″ (25 cm)

Juvenile’s are heavily spotted. Adults have a rust coloured breast. Eggs are turquoise blue. Song is very loud, liquidy & variable cheerily cheer-up cheerio. Call is rapid tut tut tut & a high ssip in flight. Range is widespread. Often prefers wide open spaces of grass. They eat worms, insects & berries.
