First ACEO/ATC

I drew this last night…I found it easier drawing small than it is to draw large. I used pencil then inked in with Sakura manga pens. The ACEO/ATC is in an Ultra Pro trading card sleeve. Should this card be in colour or stay as is?

ACEO stands for ‘Art Cards, Editions and Originals’.
ATC stands for ‘Art Trading Card’
They are collectible miniature artworks that are created in any variety of media by the artist. ACEOs and ATCs are pretty much the same; ACEOs can be bought and sold; ATCs are traded. The main rule is that they measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches, the same size as other collectible trading cards.

  1. A very effective drawing!

The thing about ACEO’s or any artist trading cards is that YOU are the arbiter of what is right for that card, depending upon what effect you are trying to create. It is your art!

I have seen many B&W cards like this and it does give a great simplicity to the artwork. In a comic, etc colour may add value but in this drawing colour is superflous.

Sorry I can’t give more specific advice than this.
